First determine the look/style you want and what area you wish to cover.

• Do you want to cover the whole window to the bottom edge of the sill?
• Do you want only a top treatment style?
• Or, do you want your curtains to go all the way to the floor?

Once you have decided on the curtain style you want, then measure the width & length of where you want the curtains to fall.
